Micro Manhattan

Manhattan is bigger than life in pop culture, iconically, population-wise, in height and in our minds. One can look a million places and see sunrise, midday and sunset cityscapes of New York taken throughout the history of photography as an art form. This trip, I enjoyed recording the little moments.

micro48

Arrival.

micro45

A celebration.

micro3

10 years.

micro42

micro7

Where I spent the coziest moments of the weekend.

micro9

And the cleanest.

micro8

Something to keep us dry, a novelty.

micro15

Walking through Soho and the villages.

micro16

118 Sullivan Street. I didn't stay here and don't know anyone who lives here. I just like the buzzer.

micro17

Once Upon a Tart...these little shops scattered everywhere remind me of Paris.

micro18

A tempting neighborhood menu in a tiny neighborhood cafe.

micro41

Left behind.

micro19

In front of hair salon. Can it be that good if they have to strap you down to fix your hair?

micro20

The tin ceiling in a crab shack where we shared oysters and soup.

micro43

The much ballyhooed Momofuku pork bun.

micro22

micro44

Explanation is unnecessary.

micro23

Newly archaic technology.

micro24

Us, midtown.

micro25

Bring out your dead.

micro26

Flower shop kitty wants someone to wash his window.

micro27

Smoking pole.

micro29

In a grocery store in Park Slope.

micro30

Brooklyn leaves.

micro31

Sunset...

micro32

set....

micro33

setting. Technically, not micro at all. Technically, not Manhattan.

micro34

Charmed.

micro35

Still life with turn table.

micro36

Sunsat, Williamsburg.

micro37

Barber shop.

micro40

Good bar.

micro38

Good bye, Brooklyn.

Good bye, New York. For now.
