Daniel Boulud Blew

Daniel Boulud Brasserie
Wynn Las Vegas
3131 Las Vegas Blvd S

Las Vegas, NV 89136
(888) 320-7110

Thirty-five plus minutes between apps and entrees. Room temperature steak and burger. Really, no decent attempt at an apology or reconciliation after requesting an early bill. I have never looked more forward to a burger and been so disappointed. The oysters were good, but that's genetics and farming. Meh.

Hi Food, she thought,

Ouch. My condolences. Thanks for the warning on this place.

That's a shame you had such a negative experience there... I don't get out west too often but being a big fan of the DB brand in NYC, each time I've been to Vegas I've hit up DB Brasserie... I've been continually thrilled at both the food and the service... It's no small feat to run a strong, consistent operation in one of those big hotels and to have reeled in a michelin star to boot is quite impressive by my standards...

My advice is to give it another try... Perhaps when you make the res, mention that your last experience was a bit disappointing but given the reputation of Daniel Boulud you hope it was a fluke... I'd bet money your experience will be 10x better...

Best,
East Coaster

DB is a now a mixed bag for me, and I'm unlikely to go anytime soon either since there are so many others on my to-try list. I had one one fab experience there though I agree that burger was overrated.

My 2nd time was really substandard -- the flatbread we ordered was just too much grease (yes, it's possible)! And yes, long waits and "chilly" service (nothing that I can point out as straightout bad, but a curt and condescending 'tude is felt.)

Do I cancel DBGB in NYC?

I think I'm gonna keep it tho. How bad can a burger bar be? Sorry to hear! Vegas is so hit and miss. (mostly miss)

Sinosoul-I would keep your reservation in NYC. I wonder if my experience can be attrbuted to Boulud's arms being too short to reach all the way to Vegas. Go...and please tell me all about it.
